Accessibility Statement
1. Microenterprise status
Based on our current records, MA METHOD sp. z o.o. qualifies as a microenterprise within the meaning of Article 3(23) of Directive (EU) 2019/882 and Article 2(3) of the Annex to Commission Recommendation 2003/361/EC of 6 May 2003, i.e. an enterprise which employs fewer than 10 persons and whose annual turnover and/or annual balance-sheet total does not exceed EUR 2 million.
The European Accessibility Act applies to certain consumer products and services, including e-commerce services. Language tuition as such is not listed as a standalone service category, but the online booking, ordering and payment flows used to conclude consumer contracts may fall within the e-commerce-services category.
Pursuant to Article 4(5) of Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 April 2019 (the European Accessibility Act), microenterprises providing services are exempt from the service accessibility requirements and related compliance obligations. In Poland, Article 4 point 1 of the Act of 26 April 2024 on ensuring compliance with accessibility requirements of certain products and services by economic operators (Ustawa z dnia 26 kwietnia 2024 r. o zapewnianiu spełniania wymagań dostępności niektórych produktów i usług przez podmioty gospodarcze, Dz.U. 2024 poz. 731) provides that the Act does not apply to services offered or provided by microenterprises. The Italian transposition (Decreto Legislativo 27 maggio 2022, n. 82, attuativo della Direttiva (UE) 2019/882) likewise exempts microenterprises providing services from the service accessibility requirements. Accordingly, while MA METHOD sp. z o.o. remains a microenterprise, the mandatory service-accessibility requirements and directly related compliance-documentation obligations under those instruments do not apply to our covered consumer services.
2. Our commitment
Even though the mandatory service requirements described above do not currently apply to us, MA Method Academy is committed to making its digital services usable by people with disabilities. We aim to progressively improve the accessibility of www.mamethod.com and of the legal subdomain by reference to EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. As of this statement date, the operative EN 301 549 version commonly referenced for EU web accessibility is v3.2.1, which aligns with WCAG 2.1 Level AA; we also track WCAG 2.2 Level AA where reasonably practicable because WCAG 2.2 is a W3C Recommendation, but we do not claim full conformance to EN 301 549 or WCAG. In particular, we work towards:
- logical heading structure on every page;
- colour-contrast ratios suitable for low-vision users;
- alt-text for meaningful images;
- keyboard-navigable forms and buttons;
- captions on important video content (where feasible);
- simple, plain-language explanations in our learning materials.
This statement was prepared by MA METHOD sp. z o.o. on the basis of a self-assessment. No formal third-party accessibility audit has been carried out, and this statement should not be read as a certification of conformity. The self-assessment is reviewed at least once per year (see §6).
3. Limitations
Some third-party components we rely on (Wix templates, embedded Zoom / Google Meet calls, Stripe Checkout) are outside our direct control. We monitor the accessibility information made available by those providers and, where we have a practical choice, prefer configurations and alternatives that better support EN 301 549 / WCAG accessibility principles.
4. Request accommodations or report a barrier
If you encounter a barrier or need a specific accommodation (including assistance with booking, payment or accessing learning materials in an alternative format), please contact us:
- E-mail: [email protected]
- Phone / WhatsApp: +39 351 400 4035
We aim to acknowledge your message within 5 working days and to propose a workable solution as soon as reasonably possible thereafter. Where a feature of the website is not accessible to you, we can arrange the corresponding service (booking, payment, lesson access) by e-mail or phone.
5. Competent authority
If you are not satisfied with our response, Polish law provides a notification route to the President of the Management Board of the State Fund for the Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons (Prezes Zarządu Państwowego Funduszu Rehabilitacji Osób Niepełnosprawnych - PFRON), who may examine the notification or forward it to the competent market-surveillance authority. For e-commerce services, the competent Polish market-surveillance authority is the minister właściwy do spraw informatyzacji (the minister competent for digitalisation, currently the Minister of Digital Affairs). For services falling within the Italian transposition, the supervisory authority for services is the Agenzia per l'Italia Digitale (AgID).
6. Updates
This statement will be reviewed at least once per year, and updated whenever the accessibility status of our website changes materially or whenever MA METHOD sp. z o.o. ceases to qualify as a microenterprise within the meaning of Article 3(23) of Directive (EU) 2019/882 and Article 2(3) of the Annex to Commission Recommendation 2003/361/EC. If the microenterprise exemption no longer applies, we will reassess the full requirements of the European Accessibility Act and the applicable national transposition rules, and publish the service-accessibility information required for covered services.
